SUPPLEMENTARY FEEDING PROGRAMME

Schools and crèches, where the Asidlale programme is in place are receiving food parcels. Helping children is the main objective of iThemba Projects, and in this way we can assist their physical as well as spiritual needs.

This programme's international funding ended in 2008, but a new programme for 2009 called Adopt a Crèche, has met this need and more.

So far the following crèche's are adopted:  St Raphael’s Crèche, Subukoseswe Crèche and Mbubu Crèche. Find out more about Adopt a Crèche by clicking the link below:

We have also gradually found genuine needs within families that we have built relationships with, who have very little or no income. This is a tiny way of giving them some relief. Each month extra parcels are ordered to give to the families who are in need or going through a rough period.

This new format is allowing all the projects to be better connected, and it is easier to establish legitimate food needs, since relationships are built first.
